Covid Policy Update - March 1 2022
As government restrictions begin to ease, I would like to take this time to review our current covid policies as of Tuesday, March 1st.
- Masking will be optional for all students, visitors and staff. We realize that there are many mixed emotions regarding this transition and we ask that everyone respect each others personal choice.
- Entry and exit protocols will now return to pre covid normal. All students will enter and exit through our main entry doors. Use of bins will no longer be necessary and all personal items may be stored in our boot racks, on coat hooks and in the lockers provided in our waiting rooms.
- Parents of children ages 7 and under are welcome to enter our waiting rooms to support their transition into and out of class.
- We still recommend social distancing in our waiting rooms when possible or waiting outside if the space is busy.
- Students are still required to self isolate if showing any core symptoms (cough, fever, shortness of breath, loss of taste or smell), starting the first day of symptoms or positive test, for a minimum of 5 days (if fully vaccinated), 10 days (if not vaccinated or partially vaccinated) or until symptoms resolve, whichever is longer.
- Our online streaming of our classes through your parent portal will still continue. Please use this as an option if you are sick, self isolating, have someone in your household who is isolating, or unable to attend class in person for any reason.
We are looking forward to this return to normal and the renewed sense of community and connection it will bring. As always, we will continue to monitor the development of the covid cases in Alberta and will make adjustments as we deem necessary to keep our students and their families safe and healthy.
